In 1984, a bunch of boys from Boston were brought together by the music mogal, Maurice Starr. Within only a short time, this group would become one of the most famous boy bands of the 80's and 90's. Though they each had something special about them personally, it was because of the New Kids On The Block Songs, that made girls scream and grow weak in the knees.

Their first song was released in 1986. The song, “Be My Girl”, received some air time in the Boston area, but as for the national market, they seemed doomed from the start. They released a second song from their debut album called “Stop It Girl”, but again, it went nowhere. It was beginning to look as though the group would never catch a break.

In 1988, the group released their third single, which came from their second album. The song, “Please Don’t Go Girl”, seemed destined to go the same way as the first two, but then their luck began to change. A radio station in Florida began giving this song more air time, and it quickly became one of the most requested songs at the station.

After that, it was a fast moving roller coaster for the boys. They released two more albums, with several more songs which made it to the top of the charts. Though they officially broke up in 1994, they reunited 14 years later, releasing a new album and adding to the many New Kids On The Block Songs.

Did you grow up in the 80's? The big hair, bright clothes, and of course, the awesome tunes. If you’re one of the millions of girls from that era, you probably remember the New Kids On The Block Music. This group of kids from Boston broke onto the scene in the mid-80's, but didn’t gain any real popularity until 1988.

When their first single came out, they were called a bubblegum band. Due to the fact that these kids were so young, their voices sounded much like the other kiddie groups that were emerging onto the scene. However, the boys despised the term, and wanted to do whatever they could to shake the stereotypical idea. With time, their songs took on a more refined sound, and in time, they created a sound all their own.

In 1993, the group split with their long-time manager, Maurice Starr, and worked on an album that they both wrote and co-produced. The problem was that it was much different than the music their fans had become accustomed to and sales of their album plummeted. By the end of 1994, the group decided to go separate ways, and said good-by to a decade of NKOTB.

In 2008, the group reformed and release a brand new album. However, it’s the original New Kids On The Block Music that not only gave millions of girls a reason to scream, but has allowed a whole new generation of women to introduce their own daughters to the music of the 80's.
